Exploring trello implementation on students’ writing peer feedback
This study explains students' perceptions of using the Trello application in
teaching writing. The pandemic has impacted many sectors, especially in the
education sector where the learning process has to be at home or face-to-face
learning is cancelled. Thus, the learning process turns into e-learning which must
be taught by every teacher to students through media or tools such as Zoom,
Google meet or Google Classroom. However, here the researcher uses a different
media from what is usually used for learning, the researcher uses the Trello
application. This research method is qualitative research. The type of research
used by the researcher is descriptive research because it is focused on a particular
phenomenon. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection
techniques in this study were interviews, checklist observations, and
documentation. The results showed that students had positive perceptions about
the learning process through the Trello application. Therefore, the first time they
used it hard. However, these challenges can be overcome because students want to
learn them. The Trello app is easy to use anytime, anywhere. In this line, students
feel satisfied using Trello App because it really helps them in the learning process
while face-to-face learning has been cancelled. Furthermore, writing skills require
a lot of text for student work and the Trello App gives students space, to freely
communicate with their friends, and can write comments about their writing in
storage for their learning.
